Contest rules · Afterdark Archives

1. The Invite Race

What it is: Bring the most new members into the Archive and win.

When: Starts October 19, 2026 and ends October 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
How to enter: Make a free Afterdark Archives account and share your personal invite link. That's it.
How it's counted: Each new member who joins through your invite link and is recorded as an accepted invite by the site's invite/recruiter system counts as one. Only invites accepted during the contest window count.
Prize: One (1) Afterdark Mystery Box. Approximate retail value: $55.
Winner: The member with the most accepted invites when the race ends. Ties go to whoever reached that count first.
Play fair: Invited accounts must be real, separate people. No alts, bots, fake or duplicate accounts, and no inviting yourself. The Afterdark mods decide what counts. They can remove invites that don't follow these rules and disqualify anyone who games the system, and their decision is final.
Invite badges are separate: The invite badges on profiles ("brought a friend", "coven starter", "cult leader" and "came in through the side door") count all-time invites and are just for fun. They don't change race standings, entries or odds, and a badge can be removed if an invited account turns out to be fake or gets banned.

What it is: Show up for Halloween and you could win.

How to enter (do both):
RSVP to "halloween night in the crypt" on the Afterdark Archives site, and
Show up and be active in #the-crypt Lounge chat during the event: October 31, 2026, 11:00 PM ET to November 1, 2026, 2:00 AM ET.
Prize: One (1) Afterdark Mystery Box. Approximate retail value: $55.
Winner: One winner, drawn at random from all eligible entrants after the event ends. Your odds depend on how many people enter. One entry per person.

No purchase necessary. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. Entering is free, but you need a free Afterdark Archives account.
Eligibility: You must be 18 or older and have a US shipping address. Employees and helpers of Afterdark Archives can't win.
One prize per person across both promotions. If you'd win both, the next eligible member wins the second prize.
Winners: Announced on the Afterdark Archives site and contacted through site mail within 3 days after each promotion ends. Winners have 7 days to respond with a US shipping address. No response means a new winner is chosen the same way.
Prize: Mystery Box contents vary and are a surprise. The prize can't be transferred, exchanged or swapped for cash. Winners are responsible for any taxes.
The fine print: Afterdark Archives can disqualify entries that cheat, tamper or break these rules. It can also change or cancel a promotion if something outside its control (like fraud or a site outage) makes it unfair to run. Your info is used only to run the contest and ship the prize.
Not affiliated: These promotions are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Discord, Twitch or Reddit.
Void where prohibited.
